This is easily one of the best tiny houses I’ve seen.

While building a tiny house might seem simple, the design has to be incredibly intelligent.

That’s because every inch of space counts.

Lots of spaces in tiny homes do double duty and serve multiple utilitarian purposes.

While just about every part of this tiny house on wheels in Queensland Australia is functional, the design doesn’t skimp when it comes to its modern look and amenities.

Let’s start with the outside.

This mobile tiny house is perfect for entertaining.

It’s got a nice porch with countertop seating for four, as well as lounge seating that’s shaded by an overhead umbrella.

There’s also a barbecue grill, chicken coop, and a tiny garden.

The inside of Amy and Greg’s home has enough space for both of them and their two children who live with them part-time.

Wow, we are blown away & so grateful for all the incredible support & interest we've received on our account! 🀯 We've had an influx of new followers & with it, countless new comments & DMs, more than we're able to keep up with. If you have any questions I'll be putting up a ask & answer story in the coming days so #watchthisspace. Alternatively, you can drop questions below or send a DM & I'll do my best to respond. We're a family of 4 living full time in our tiny house on wheels (#thow). Our journey was born from the passing of my Dad, after which we reflected on our own life & realised a life of consumerism could never offer us the enriched life full of passion, memories & connection we longed for. Going tiny was a natural progression to aid us in gaining financial freedom & with that more time for the people & things we love. We are so thankful for this platform & for all the people it's connected us with along the way.

“Amy and Greg discovered the tiny house movement online and quickly fell in love with the idea of building their own tiny home,” the website Living Big in a Tiny House explains. “They were attracted to the simplicity of the tiny house lifestyle and also the financial freedom which tiny house living could offer, the idea of not being tied to a job and the ability to free up both money and time to focus on things which are truly important to the couple.”

The living room has a large L-shaped couch where the family can stretch out and watch the mounted TV together.

The couch contains both storage space and a pull out bed for guests.

Beyond the living room is a fully functional kitchen with a sink, stove, and lots of cabinet space. The countertop extends into a desk with pull out seating for two.

We've been living #tiny for a little over a week & it's been a surprisingly easy transition. The kids have finally been able to experience tiny life too & they love it! Miss 9 has always been excited for the experience but Mr 12 was more hesitant. I'm pleased to say both adore it & have loved hanging out in their loft. They've also enjoyed the extra ourdoor space & feeding the animals πŸπŸ“πŸ• Our frenchie has also been living her best life, exploring the extra land & loves sleeping in our loft too. We couldn't be happier with the change of lifestyle. We're so much closer as a family already 😍 thank you @aussietinyhouses for making our dream a reality #tinyliving . . . #tinyhouse #lifedonesimple #youdoyou #financialfreedom #family #tinyhousemovement

The kitchen and bathroom are separated by a sliding door.

The bathroom includes plenty of storage space, a beautiful sink, large round mirror, and a wooden countertop.

There’s also a composting toilet and a glass-encased shower with a luxurious waterfall shower head.

“We decided on a composting toilet, as not only does this save on water but also made finding a parking spot easier. Not having to hook into an existing sewerage system means we only need to have a powered site as we also capture our own water,” the family’s Instagram page reads.

Lets talk about our toilet 🧻We decided on a composting toilet, as not only does this save on water but also made finding a parking spot easier. Not having to hook into an existing sewerage system means we only need to have a powered site as we also capture our own water. Our model is the Separett Villa 9100. Out of all the designs we looked at, this one presented most like a traditonal toilet. Smell isn't an issue as the urine is diverted to a pit away from the house & the solid waste & paper are in a compartment discretely covered by an automatic flap. A small fan in solids compartment runs 24/7, eliminating moisture & minimises the smell. For us as a family we only need to empty the solids once every 3 weeks. This can then be composted for 12 months before being used on trees or disposed of with the general garbage #tinyhouse #tinyhome #tinyliving #thow #minimalism #inspiring #tinyhouseonwheels #homeiswhereyouparkit #liveyouradventure

The home even has a standard-sized washing machine.

Queensland’s climate allows the clothes to be hung out to dry outside.

A set of stairs will take you up into the master sleeping loft.

Since going tiny, we're often asked if we still like it. I guess people are assuming it's a novelty that'll soon wear off, that we'll suddenly feel cramped. For us, we actually fall more in love with our home each day. The only rooms that don't feel full sized are the lofts, simply due to the height. Despite it's size, our loft is my favourite, it feels luxurious & I've never slept better. We drift to sleep gazing at the stars & moon through the skylight & enjoy the cross breeze from the well positioned windows. The space is uncluttered, calming, cosy & inviting. Plus going tiny means less financial output, so we can enjoy a higher quality matteress & bedding. In downsizing we've upgraded & we love it! πŸŒ‘ #tinyliving #lifedonesimple #liveyouradventure

Above the bed, which is surrounded by a window on each side, is a skylight that allows Amy and Greg to gaze at the stars at night.

Across from the master sleeping loft is another sleeping loft with two mattresses for the kids, which is accessible by a ladder.

In between the two lofts are some shelving and storage drawers.

The entire home is filled with natural light throughout thanks to all of the windows. You can take a full tour of this tiny home in the video below.
