Jude had spent years living in campers. But nothing quite felt like home. So she designed something just for her!

For over 20 years, Jude has been living in campers and other mobile forms of home.

Naturally, over this time, she got to try out quite a few different environments. And none met her needs.

So eventually, she decided to make a camper that was especially for her.

Jude found a brand new truck and decided to buy it. At first, she considered getting a secondhand truck, but she stumped for a newer model, as it would be more reliable for longer.

The truck part of the tiny home also serves as Jude’s laundry room and shed.

She just hangs her clothes up in there to dry! And as the passenger seat isn’t used, she stacks her extra items there.

The house part of the truck is 6.4 meters long and 2.4 meters wide. That’s 21 feet by eight feet, almost.

And it’s also equipped so that Jude can live completely off-grid. It has self-containment tanks for the water and sewerage.

On the top are solar panels. At first, she had 500-watt panels, but she then upgraded to 800-watt panels.

She also has four deep cycle 250 amp hour batteries. But Jude rarely needs to use them, as the solar panels provide enough power. If she does need to charge the batteries, then she can convert the power from the engine. And lastly, there’s a power plug that connects to mains power.

It’s also insulated just like a normal home.

The exterior of the home portion is made out of cedar wood.

The back of the home has a huge picture window which provides plenty of light and makes the entire space feel huge.

Next to this are some French doors, which provide even more light.

On the inside, a really long couch lines the picture window, giving plenty of sitting room.

Opposite this is a smaller couch.

But this smaller couch pulls out to become a bed. And this is where Jude sleeps at night.

The wooden interior walls are filled with artworks, really giving the space a homey feel.

She’s even made a little piece of art that resembles a Christmas tree.

There’s also a pull down bed hidden above the longer couch, which descends via a pulley system.

The smaller bed rests on top of the other bed. That means that Jude’s feet end up underneath this other bed.

Next to the bed are some stairs, which also pull out to reveal tons of storage space.

Further back in the home is a fireplace. Underneath the fireplace there are logs and pinecones for burning.

The kitchen area has plenty of counter space.

It even has an extra counter that pulls up.

At the end of the counter space is a full-size gas oven.

Next to the oven is also a full size fridge.

Above the kitchen space are some cupboards, which all provide storage space.

Beside the kitchen space is Jude’s pantry, which also pulls out.

Next to the pantry is a clothing cupboard.

At the very end of the living space is a door that opens to the bathroom.

The bathroom is pretty spacious, with a shower being separate from the toilet, unlike in most campervans.

Jude loves her space, and it’s easy to see why!
