The problem with white clothing and other white laundry items is that they don’t stay bright for very long. But Tina Golik may have found the ideal solution.

White clothing, towels, linens and so on go dull and stained over time, right?

That’s just the way it is, and no amount of washing will get them nice and bright again, eh? Wrong!

One YouTube video has shown the world how to get old white laundry items looking brand new.

“This is actually a recipe that works really good for those dingy things that you can never get white.” – Tina Golik.

Tina Golik’s “recipe” for clean laundry really works. And this is what you need and how it’s done.

First, turn on the hot water on your sink. Let the water flow until it gets really hot.

While the water’s heating up, add these items to your washing machine:

One cup of powdered laundry detergent.

One cup of powdered dishwashing detergent.

Half a cup of Oxi Clean White Revive.

Half a cup of borax.

One cup of bleach.

Then turn the sink off. (The sink being turned on hot was just so the water that initially goes into the washing machine will be hot.)

Alternatively, you can just boil some water on the stove and add that to the washing machine.

Then add all of your whites to the washing machine.

Then close the door/lid of your washing machine and make it start filling with very hot water. When the washing machine is filled up with hot water open the lid or stop the cycle some other way (you may have to unplug the washing machine if you have a door instead of a lid.)

Let the white laundry soak in the hot water for at least four hours.

After four hours have passed, put the washing machine on its rinse cycle. Also, add one cup of vinegar to the wash. Then put it on another rinse cycle.

Then put the clothing in the dryer with wool dryer balls.

Once the whites are all dry, all that’s left to do is to fold them up!

You’ll be amazed at how bright the finished laundry is!

Tina Golik’s guide for white laundry has made quite an impact online. To date, it has gained over 155,000 views.

Golik also has a range of other great home hack YouTube uploads.

Her most popular video shows how to make a glamorous cake stand from Dollar Tree items.

This is what you need to buy from Dollar Tree to make this item:

Three transparent candlesticks.

Two transparent bowls.

One package of six long silver beaded necklaces.

One roll of diamond wrap.

Two burner covers.

You also need some strong glue, a glue gun and some hot glue. Golik used E6000.

To make the cake stand, you need to glue two of the candlesticks together by their tops (i.e. the bit where the candles are stuck.) Then glue the bottom of the bowl to the base of one of the candlesticks.

Then glue the base of the second bowl to the top of the as yet unused candlestick.

Glue the diamond wrap around the entire edge of the burner covers.

Then cut one of the silver necklaces open so that it’s a string instead of a necklace.

Glue the start of one end of the string to the lip of the burner cover and keep gluing it on until the entire edge of the cover is lined with the necklace.

Add more diamond wrap to the candlesticks, just underneath where they meet the bowl and where the candlesticks are glued together.

Glue the burner covers to the bowls that are stuck to the candlesticks, with the lip of the burner covers facing downwards when they’re flipped over.

Cut another one of the necklaces into evenly sized small strings. Then glue the ends of these onto the lip of the burner cover so that they form little loops.

Then you can place one of the candlesticks on top of the other burner stands. If you want, you can glue these together, but of course, they will also work as two separate items that stack and unstack.
