The exterior of the home is absolutely stunning with it’s soft muted colors. The home was built by Carpenter Oak Ltd., a British company specializing in wood framed houses.

The home was commissioned by Petrea and Rick Middleton after Petra overcame illness.

The home was built as a recovery retreat where the Middletons could reside are get some peace, quiet, and healing. They initially planned to buy a home but couldn’t find anything that suited them.

“We spent two years looking at everything from terraced cottages to barn conversions, but nothing was ever right,” Petrea told Carpenter Oak Ltd. “There was not enough privacy.”

And if there’s one thing this house has, it’s privacy.

The house’s oak frame supports the house but also creates a beautiful oak-colored trim within the home.

The kitchen is huge! It comes complete with full cabinets, sink, stovetop, hutch, buffet, and a dining table.

Natural light spills through the kitchen and is complemented by beautiful light colors like blue, white and grey.

The kitchen lies behind a quaint living room that has a wood stove, a coffee table, love seat, TV, and sofa.

The bedroom is super comfy with a large bed, storage space, and lots of window space.

The bed takes up most of the room but that’s what makes it cozy.

The bathroom seems tiny but the glass shower door really opens the space up. It has a full shower that is tiled dark so that the white toilet and shower floor make the space look larger.

The attic also serves a king-sized suite. Its charm comes from its narrow ceiling.

The bedroom houses a large bed and additional space.

The second bathroom features a small sink but a gorgeous basin bathtub. And it’s just stunnign with all that wood and titled accents.

The views from this area showcase the beautiful green secluded country landscape.

The home creates a spacious-look with such limited space because of its clever floor plan.
