There’s no such thing as ugly dresses. You just have to be extra creative to bring out the best in them.
The #targetdresschallenge is the most recent trend to go viral online and it’s not surprising why. The 19th-century dresses have allowed people to unleash their creative side despite the restrictions of the pandemic.
They made staying at home more fun, too. People were able to recreate old-time photos and create seriously funny captions to go with them.
To inspire you to go buy one of the dresses and create your own version, here are 30 of the most creative people joining the trend.
Target has decided if we’re gonna suffer a pandemic, we might as well look like we just lost the farm after locusts ate our crops.

1. Going with it
Even with a bleeding leg, these two continued with their photoshoot. That’s what you call dedication- all for the sake of the #targetdresschallenge

2. Poor chicken
This one’s quite funny. They even had to make a disclaimer to assure the public that no chickens were harmed during the photoshoot!

3. The tale of two women
These women are so in character. They don’t look like they’re pretending to be women of the past in the way they’re acting in the photos.

This woman didn’t just manage to take great pictures with the dress; she even managed to make a whole story about it. Such a creative mind!

Having your friends join you can make things more fun and that applies to this trend, too. If you’re planning on finding that Target dress and taking pictures, consider having your friends do them with you.

6. A serious decision
She’s having a serious talk with the hog. She doesn’t have the heart to say that it could be his last day. But then again, she’s craving for some fresh bacon, too.
Quarantine day 329: Pa said if this winter holds out much longer he’ll need to butcher the hog… I don’t reckon I’m…

7. Trying to last through winter
With that tool, she was able to get plenty of wood to last through winter. The dress probably made the work easier.

8. Mission accomplished
It’s not clear what this man was trying to achieve when he took this photo. If he’s trying to make people laugh, he clearly did an awesome job.

9. Just pretty
She’s pretty, right? The dress looks really good on her. She’s feeling it, too.

10. Confusing
Even the animals were confused after seeing their human dress like this. They weren’t even sure if it was him or if he’s a big stick.

11. Not from today
This woman did an excellent job with this photo. It looks like it’s been taken several years ago. The photo looks so old and…scary.

12. Beard and eggs
The dress was the only requirement of the trend. There are no rules saying you can’t wear your beard or hold your eggs while joining it.

13. So bright
The color of the dress isn’t the only thing that’s bright in this photo. Clearly, this child has such a bubbly and fun personality. The dress just emphasized that fact.

14. No such thing as too many
Why stop with one? If you have such a beautiful dress, why not wear it all day while doing your chores? That sounds like a lot of fun- take it from this woman.

15. Like pros
The woman isn’t the only person nailing the trend. If you take a closer look, you’ll see that the goat is also quite dedicated to make the photoshoot work.

16. The cutest
This is probably the cutest person to join the trend. She’s even holding an egg. How can you say “no” to this?

17. With a can of beer
Well, the trend didn’t say anything about banning beer in photo shoots. This man didn’t violate any rules. In fact, he made things seemed more fun.

18. The serious look
When doing the Target dress challenge, it’s not enough to get the right dress. You also have to pose with the right facial expression to nail the trend.

19. The whole gang
This woman felt that the chicken wasn’t enough. She needed the whole gang to be in the photo to get it right.

20. Back to the old days
This woman went all out. Apart from the dress and the bonnet, she also managed to get a pump and a kettle in the picture. Turn this photo into a black and white copy and you’ll get a photo that doesn’t look like it’s taken in today’s time.

21. The right color
This photo feels like it was taken out of a horror movie. Nonetheless, it’s beautiful. She picked the perfect boots to go with the dress.

22. Taking it seriously
If you’re going to something, you have to do your best. That’s exactly what this woman’s doing. Just look at her face!

23. Animals included
It’s not clear if the animals were forced to join the photoshoot or if they did it out of their free will. Apart from that, this photo’s perfect.

25. After Valentine’s day
Don’t blame these guys. They’re just heartbroken and looking for a way to let their emotions out.

26. Just waiting
She did the laundry and now, she’s waiting for the clothes to dry. She’s got a good book in her hands and a nice cup of coffee. She’s clearly living the good life.

This trend seems so much fun to do. Even men are willing to put on the dresses and pose for the camera.

28. Black and white
The lack of color can be misleading. That’s a Target dress and not something from years ago.

29. All out
She refused to stop with the dress. Quite dedicated to nailing the trend, she even got an old looking newspaper and couch to complete the picture. Well, if you’re doing something, you should give your best, right?

30. Those faces
One was trying to put on a serious face while the other was really feeling it. Don’t let the somber faces fool you. These two were clearly enjoying this.
