It’s also super delicious. There’s nothing more refreshing than some nice fruit on a hot summer day. You just feel healthy when you’re biting into a piece of fruit.

But sometimes we just like to grab a snack on the go.

And that’s something that might deter us from grabbing a piece of fruit.

That’s why it’s nice to have your fruit cut up ahead of time so you can just grab some when you’re hungry instead of waiting to prepare it.

Taking the time to chop up fruit can be a pain. So it’s good to know a few tricks that can make that process much faster.

Here Are 5 Tricks To Cut Down on Fruit Prep Time:

1) Cubing Watermelons

Chop your watermelon into slices. Slice off the green peel and chop the rest up into cubes. You can also cut the watermelon into sticks by making deep cuts into the whole fruit horizontally and then vertically. Cut the melon at it’s base them chop up the sticks.

2) Peeling An Orange

Cut off the ends of your orange. Make a deep vertical cup into one side of the orange until you reach the center. Pull the side apart and you’ll easily be able to neatly remove the orange segments.

3) Cutting An Avocado

Find a thin-edged glass. Use the edge to cut into the avocado skin. Use the glass to separate the avocado peel from the meat.

4) Slicing Mango

Slice your mango in half but not all the way through. Use a knife to carefully scoop out all of the mango segments from the peel in one motion. Taking the peel off after it’s slice is much harder.

5) Coring Strawberries

Coring strawberries can be time-consuming to do by hand. Instead, poke a chopstick or straw into the narrow end of the strawberry. It will push the core out and remove the green top in seconds.

6) Quarter a Pineapple

Pineapple can be a real pain in the butt to chop up. Make sure you have a large knife that is sharp. Cut a pineapple into quarters. Then slice along the fruit and slice again in quarters. Fan out when you’re done so it looks fancy. See how its done in the video below.
