In today’s story, we will see a very easy tutorial about how to create a “Woolen Flower Making with Fingers – Hand Embroidery Design”, the video can be found on the popular Merry Craft channel on YouTube.

In order to create your woolen flower, you will obviously need first to decide the type of yarn you will use and the color. As you can see in the video, the “instructor” chose some yellow and orange yarn.

The first step after choosing your yarn is to take a string of each color around 120 cm each. You will have to fold the strings in such a way to appear like you have three strings of its color. Then, you proceed to cut them at their end in order to separate them.

Now that you have your individual strings separated from the rest of the yarn ball, you will have to tie them together on one side using a single thread. The thread’s color should be one of the two you have chosen.

As this is hand-embroidery, you will be using your fingers as needles and hooks in order to knit your flower accessory. Follow the video’s instructions on how to loop the yarn around your fingers.

After you have secured the yarn strings on the fingers of one hand, with the other you will start the looping process, in order to create a small “braid”.

Once the braiding process is complete, you will have to secure its ends, a simple knot would do the trick.

Now that your braid is complete, take one of its sides and start rolling it inwards, creating what would slowly start to resemble a flower bud.

Using a needle and a tread, try to secure the “bud”, so it would not unroll at any point. Basically, you will have to try and sew it well together from all sides.

Once your flower bud is ready, you can proceed and decorate it as you like. The “instructor” in the video decided to sew on the bud three beautiful pearl beads.

The result is really beautiful and satisfying. You can decorate with woolen flowers other accessories like handmade woolen bags, scarves, or hats. Let your imagination run wild and enjoy the creation process!
