Kallie Branciforte is the creator of the blog and social media sites But First, Coffee. And on November 1st, she uploaded a video to help people get a leg up on their holiday decorating via The Dollar Store.

While the first day of November might be a bit early for some, things tend to get picked-over quickly by people looking for deals.

Of course, this year people are aching to get in the Christmas spirit earlier than ever since travel has been a bust thanks to COVID.

In her caption, Branciforte explained:

“…I’ve done the legwork and the research for you guys and am sharing everything need to know about shopping the Dollar Tree for Christmas 2020. I’m sharing the hot new Dollar Tree Christmas items that JUST landed this year, my best finds, products I think are 100% worth snagging, and some other Dollar Tree Christmas hacks and tips for making the most of your Dollar Tree Christmas haul this year!”

Here are some of her best tips:

Ornaments

Branciforte says that the selections get better each year and you can basically find whatever you’re looking for, no matter what your color scheme or theme.

Her favorites are the packages of globe ornaments – great for tree trimming or crafting!

She also suggested checking out dollartree.com in case your local store is picked over.

Trees

Mini Christmas trees can take the holiday spirit to any room in your house. Of course, for just $1, you’re not getting a big, fluffy tree.

Sure, they’re sparse, but for just another dollar, Branciforte suggests picking up a strand of green garland and wrap it around the tree. You can even double them up to make them twice as full.

Just look at the difference:

Trendy designs

Whether you like things traditional or on-trend, The Dollar Store seems to have you covered.

This year, Buffalo plaid is a hot trend and the store didn’t miss out on the chance to sell a little bit of everything in the easy-to-match and outdoorsy pattern.

Shipping

Now one thing that’s crucial to know, according to Branciforte is that if you’re going to order items from The Dollar Store’s website, it’s not like ordering Amazon Prime. In fact, you should expect to wait 7-14 days to receive your items.

Don’t don’t cut it too close!

You can have them ship items directly to your house, or you can have them shipped directly to the store for free and pick up – but either way, it takes the same amount of time (in her experience).

Ribbons, bows, and wrapping paper

While Branciforte is a huge fan of the ribbon and bow selection at The Dollar Store, she said the wrapping paper was plentiful but not of the best quality.

But she did purchase some to wrap smaller gifts and stocking stuffers. Just keep in mind that it might not be exactly what you’re looking for if you have to wrap an important gift.

But they do have awesome gift bags!

And their bows come in all shapes and sizes and for just $1, you’ll save a ton of cash.

But we’ll just tell you now that it’s a great place to get things you might not even think of – like tape, gift boxes, and even tins for holding your yummy Christmas cookies.
