Dealing with wrinkles as you age is something everyone encounters eventually. While it’s a natural part of life, it can be difficult — and even depressing — to handle. It gets expensive to buy anti-wrinkle beauty products at the store or spa. And sometimes those products don’t even work very well.
So instead of shelling out all of your money on average wrinkle removers, you can actually try an easy home remedy to reduce wrinkles and generate healthier skin.
Check out these eight home remedies for reducing wrinkles.
Apply a Cucumber Moisturizer
You can keep wrinkles to a minimum by making sure your skin stays hydrated. Try using a homemade cucumber moisturizing treatment on your face. Grate one cucumber and then press the cucumber juice using a sieve. Spread the juice on your face using a cotton ball. After a half hour, rinse the cucumber moisturizer off with water.
Rub Lemon Juice on Your Face
You can make your skin look shinier while fighting sun damage by rubbing some lemon juice on your face. The vitamin C and acidity offered by lemons are good for the skin. Using one fresh lemon slice, rub the juice into facial wrinkles and fine lines.
Use Egg Whites
Another way to brighten and tighten skin is to use egg whites. Try this homemade moisturizer recipe: Add 1/2 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to an egg white. Stir the mixture into a froth, apply it to your face, and rinse after letting is sit for 30 minutes.
Sleep on a Satin Pillowcase
The material of your pillowcase can actually affect facial wrinkles as you sleep. Sleeping on softer material is better for your skin, including the sensitive eye area. So, try a satin pillow case, or even a cotton pillow with a high thread count, to reduce wrinkles.
Apply a Banana Mask
To minimize age spots and brighten your skin, try a banana mask. Start by mashing up one banana. Then add 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt and 1 teaspoon of orange juice. Apply the banana mask for about 15 minutes. Then rinse it off.
Use an Olive Oil Moisturizer
Another hydrating skin moisturizing treatment includes using olive oil twice a day. Start by opening up your pours with some steam. Do so for about 15 minutes. Then massage 1 tablespoon of olive oil into your skin using circular motions.
Use Coconut Oil
You can also use coconut oil to help fight the signs of early aging, including reducing wrinkles and fine lines. Just wash your face before bed each night, and then massage the coconut oil into your skin.
Eat Fruits and Vegetables

What you eat every day also has a direct impact on how healthy your skin is. Remember to eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to ensure you get nutrients that are important for healthy skin.
While you won’t be able to completely eliminate wrinkles, by taking care of your skin, eating right, and staying out of the sun when possible, you’ll help keep your skin soft, youthful, and as healthy as possible.
