Kristen, a 39-year-old wife, and mother, runs the TikTok account “southernescape,” which has more than 1.1M followers.
Her content is all about motherhood, life hacks, and DIY projects that are fun and easy. According to her account, when people hear her voice, they compare her to Julie Chrisley, and she’s proud of it.
Last March 26, Kristen uploaded a TikTok clip that shows a simple DIY storage piece for any home.
In the introduction of her video, she tells her audience that she will show them how to reclaim their bathroom counter space.
She proceeds by saying that if your partner has done a great job occupying the space in your bathroom, then it is time to work and reclaim that space.
Who could relate to this?
You enter the bathroom and see shaving creams, razors, deodorant, perfumes, and so much more. Your partner’s things are all scattered on your counter space.

Usually, you have your side, and he has his side. But every day, you find all his stuff everywhere, and this could be so frustrating.
So Kristen is showing everyone a simple project.
She bought four craft wood pieces and six small wooden boxes. She also used a wood stapler gun and some wood varnish.
In her clip, she stapled the boxes on the wood sheets. To give it a better look and easy access, she placed the boxes in a tilted position.
With all the materials she bought, she was able to make two 3-basket containers.
According to Kristen, after securing the basket, you’re done with the project. But since she loves the rustic theme, she decided to apply wood varnish.
She was able to achieve that look that she was going for.
She allowed the storage baskets to dry, and she showed how she placed them in her bathroom.
Kristen was able to organize her partner’s things neatly. Seeing her putting all the personal items of her partner is so satisfying.
On the other side of the bathroom counter, she placed another basket where she put cotton buds, cotton balls, and cotton pads.
You can also put this in your kitchen. It would work as a spice rack too.
If you have a desk, you can put your pens, highlighters, and all your other office stuff.
What if you have a garage? It’s the perfect storage for nails and bolts!
This project is so easy that anyone would be thrilled to try it out. You can also customize each storage according to your liking.
