The view is amazing and the house is gorgeous but I love those bathtubs.

Imagine this. You have your dream family home, and you can enjoy the scenery, and you can also share this home and generate income.

Isn’t this a dream come true?

Taupō Bay, New Zealand is a paradise here on earth. Greig and Rachel fell in love with the location after camping four and a half years ago.

Then, they decided it would be best to live there, and the only way to do it was to buy a mobile bus home and move.

Sounds like a big move, but once you see the opportunities that came to this family, you would understand why they never looked back.

Tiny home. Big living.

The size of this sophisticated bus home is 50 square meters and the bottom level is 2.4 by 12 meters.

The top of the mobile bus home is collapsible, and it’s about 15 square meters.

After buying the bus home, they built an extension deck.

Bubble baths and fire.

Underneath the wooden deck is two bathtubs. It also has shutters that come down. According to the couple, they love having bubble baths by the fire.

They are also very proud of their 200 macadamia trees.

After moving here, the family of four didn’t stop improving their mobile home.

Little by little, they would remove and add features that suited their family, especially now that their little boys are growing.

Breathtaking scenery

Bryce couldn’t get enough of the beautiful scenery.

Being away from the city and living in a place like Greig and Rachel, you will definitely appreciate the peaceful life.

Remarkable design

It shocked the host of Living Big In A Tiny House as he entered the bus home.

According to Greig, the designer was superb, and even if they did some renovation, they made the most out of each space.

The lounge was originally a bedroom.

It had a big wardrobe at the back and an enormous bed. Then there was a wall, so that didn’t fit their needs. What they did was remove it to create another space.

This is where the kids play and it doubles as their living area.

Of course, like many people who live in tiny homes, they maximized their living spaces.

There are storage spaces underneath the couch and the steps going to the living area.

The compact bathroom is functional and stylish. There’s just something about timber that’s aesthetically inviting, don’t you agree?

They even have a little shower and tub unit.

Did you know this bus home also has three bedrooms? Harper’s (one of their sons) room even has a closet and bookshelf.

But the big windows are amazing.

Upstairs is another bedroom that Bryce described as a stylish bunk bed and a treehouse in one. The room of Greig and Rachel is in the pop-up part of the bus.

It’s 4 feet above the original room of the bus so it’s quite a spacious room, like a tent.

Doors are for the disconnected.

One thing that you will also notice is that they don’t have doors in each room, which makes them feel closer to each other.

The couple wanted to share this beautiful scenery and their home with the public, so they open their home every summer to Airbnb.

According to them, the guests love the place and their home.

This also allows them to earn extra money. Soon, Greig shared they plan to build another home for them so they can Airbnb this one full time.
