Cleaning your oven can be such a pain.

It’s a job no one wants to do.

You have to stick your head in and try to scrub hard-to-reach spots that can be greasy and gooey.

That’s why most people don’t do it as often as they should.

And since most people don’t do it as often as they should, grease and grime accumulate.

It accumulates to the point where cleaning the oven ends up being a much more difficult task.

One that involves a whole lot of scrubbing. And even with all that scrubbing, your oven still looks stained.

But there is a hack that might help you to get your oven to look like the day you bought it.

And it claims that there is minimal, if any, scrubbing at all!

And it uses just three ingredients that you probably already have in your house!

The best part about this method is it uses natural ingredients.

No chemicals involved at all!

All you need some baking soda, vinegar, and water in an oven-safe bowl.

First, you want to mix a generous amount of baking soda with some water and vinegar.

Then use a sponge to spread this mixture over your oven.

Some recipes for this method say that your solution should form a paste, but it looks pretty thin in the video below.

Use your best judgment!

Next place the bowl inside of your oven and set the oven to 100° C or 212° F.

Leave your oven on at this temperature for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes, take the bowl out using some oven mitts.

Then carefully wipe your oven down with a sponge.

Just be careful not to burn yourself in the hot oven.

The grease and grime should wipe away easily without scrubbing.

Your oven will look spic and span all over again and without the use of harsh chemicals.

This magic scrub-free cleaning power can be contributed to baking soda.

“Baking soda is non-toxic, inexpensive, easy-to-use, and remarkably effective on cleaning oven grease,” Arm & Hammer’s website says.

“Baking soda is alkaline, and oven grease made of food particles is typically acidic.

Baking soda neutralizes acids and breaks down the grease, allowing you to wipe it up without a lot of elbow grease.”

However, people on the internet had different ideas about what exactly made this part mess-free.

Some said it was the vinegar.

“Vinegar will take up pretty much everything just on its own I use it to clean the birdcage hardly have to scrub just starts dissolving stuff,” one person commented on YouTube.

Others said it was the heat.

“The trick isn’t the baking soda, it’s the temperature!

Heat up the metal and with the application of soap, the stains easily removed,” said another.

There were lots of mixed reviews about this method so you’ll have to check out the video below and decide for yourself.

The video has gone viral with over 7.8 million views. Check out the easy instructions below!
