Would you stay at this A-frame cabin set atop four threes in the middle of the forest in Washington state?

You’d be missing out if you didn’t.

This is the Tree Frame.

Located in the woods of Index, Washington, Nick wanted to create an A-frame cabin because it was unique, beautiful, simple, sexy, and classic all at the same time.

He started sketching the idea in his head in 2020 but soon made it a reality.

He worked with general contractors for about five months to make the A-frame tree cabin come alive. And when it was done, it was simply magical.

Constructing in the trees was tricky.

He wanted to preserve the trees.

So he called an arborist to make sure the design and construction didn’t harm the trees.

While it looked like the cabin had a structural beam keeping it on top, it was actually built on a platform held up by a static uplifter rester to keep it stable.

The Tree Frame is situated 13 feet above the ground and the entire cabin is about 34 feet off the ground.

No space wasted

Nick maximized the entire space, including the vacant space below the cabin.

“We have a tiny little beautiful two-person jacuzzi… you can sit with your date and look out into the forest and enjoy some peaceful under-the-treehouse time,” Nick described.

Going up the stairs, you’ll be greeted by several small round lights on the floor.

“When you come up the stairs to your treehouse cabin, it should be like ‘You have arrived!’ And these lights are just shining up and welcoming you to this fun experience,” Nick stated.

Nick actually invested in a lot of exterior lighting to make the cabin feel contemporary and modern.

Designed with two in mind

The Tree Frame is perfectly suited for a couple. It was designed to give them a quick romantic getaway.

When you enter the cabin, you’ll see the outdoor area with two chairs beside each other so you can enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine at night, while enjoying the scenery.

Warm and cozy

If it gets too cold, there’s a propane stove plus a comfortable couch where you can snuggle up with each other.

The Tree Frame has a full-sized kitchen with a medium-sized fridge, sink and counter, a microwave, induction stove, air fryer, coffee maker, and even a toaster.

The bathroom has a tiled shower, heated floors, an LED mirror, and a big window so you can feel one with nature even while brushing your teeth.

Between the living room and kitchen, there’s a ladder that will take you up the bedroom loft and your king-sized bed.

Nick carefully plans every detail.

He even has small windows built in the loft that open so hot air can escape. And one thing that Nick did not skimp on is the number of skylights in the cabin.

There’s one in the living room and in the bedroom. You can close your eyes to the view of the moon and stars and wake up to the morning sun shining on your face.

From dreams to destination

What started out as a dream has now become a dream destination for so many.
