Talk about repurposing with a purpose!

But this one retains all the best parts of the original – the exposed brick, the super-high ceilings…

And the decor somehow manages to be cozy and yet maintain the enormity of the space.

No germs to worry about AND you don’t have to worry about dropping something if you have your hands full.

What might normally be kind of cheesy is artfully done in this case.

Functional AND creative!

How many times have you tried to eat street food on the go only to have it end up, quite literally, on the street?

Unless you have a fear of bridges, you might not often think about the fact that you’re being held up by concrete.

But there’s no getting around the fact when you look at this bridge.

These padlock-shaped bike locks are fun and functional – and, hopefully, they remind people to lock up their bikes!

This wall rack with infinite possibilities allows you to hang a few things, a whole bunch of things, or completely store it away while still having it look attractive.

We’re dying to replace our clunky coat rack with one.

And the message is an important one – every time you buy fakes you’re sending money to less-than-savory people who use that money to conduct more illegal and shady business.

So if you’re going to have to live with them, you might as well give them a cute place of their own in order to keep them away from things like birdfeeders.

This was built from scratch as a DIY project, otherwise we would have ordered one right away!

There are elegant solutions to all sorts of problems – even ones that aren’t so glam.

It might be a little awkwardly placed in the room, but it’s visually delightful.

We love that it doesn’t stand out too much – it’s just a little surprise for those who are aware of their surroundings.

And, to be fair, there’s just as good a chance of this being ruined as a piece of paper if you plan on sending it out to sea.

These bathroom signs use just the right amount of it to illuminate which stall is which.

How awesome are these bunk beds for giving you a space of your own?

This clever card strikes us as a little bit sad as well. But if you need it, you might as well get used to splitting things.

Sometimes it’s the little things that keep you coming back to a business.

Not only are you standing right in front of them, but you can see what they once looked like. And yet it still requires some imagination.

It’s like looking back through time.

We love it – and we bet they have return customers just because of how cute this is.

We don’t know if there was a little hill there before or if involved some landscaping as well, but it sure is charming.

After all, since when has the Departement of Planning ever charmed someone?

We imagine you have to plan pretty far ahead to be able to execute this design.

This idea is just fabulous – and if we already want to buy the product then this billboard is clearly doing its job.

Then again, if we can send people to space, we should be able to depict it on the ground.

How cute is this nod to Star Wars in their ad?

Almost as cute as the car itself.

City planning is so important to people’s happiness and pride in their towns. We’re surprised more people don’t try interesting design ideas in public spaces.

If you want a bit of nostalgia without making a big commitment, this is the way to go.

Everything just has a curve and flow that makes it look so relaxing. We’d give anything to be there right now.

The thought and the execution are spot-on with this airplane-shaped bench outside of a runway.

We can’t help but smile at this car decal that makes the driver look like he’s trimming hair on the highway.

We wonder what it takes to get a custom-made handle like that – although it would probably look a little creepy on any other door.

In this case, it’s designed to make people a bit uncomfortable about how often we simply walk by the homeless.

The inspirational message is only visible if you really stop and take a look.

Take, for example, this ATM screen that is built so that only the person using it can see what’s displayed.

No one needs to know if you’re taking out $20 or $200.

Well, this design allows you to grow food right next to the place where you’re going to cook it.

Does it get any more convenient?

It takes an extra second to see what’s going on, but we have to admit it’s pretty clever.

And while that was almost certainly the case with this house as well, it blends back into its environment perfectly by reflecting it right back.

It’s a fun twist on the unexpected.

It looks like this city is actually committed to letting bikers and pedestrians travel safely. (Not to mention all those extra cars that will now be able to beep immediately when the light turns green.)

It may have traumatized a child or two, but it’s super fun to see people get chomped up while still knowing they’re safe.

Sure, you have to reposition it every day, but this is the kind of specificity we’re looking for in a sundial!

Maybe it doesn’t work so well on a cloudy day, but it certainly reminds us of all the time we’ve spent choosing colors on a clear one.

We’d probably still choose the wrong blue.

This design is so good it hurts a little. But it certainly makes you think.

How perfect to have this symbol right on the handle of their gallery doors.

It’s both utterly unnatural and yet somehow fits into its surroundings.

Just imagine swimming ABOVE the trees!

This is just a rendering of a design for a building in Tel Aviv, but we sure hope they build it.

Now we just want to know how he got permission from the city to alter that thing!

Now you can see everything that’s in your fridge and nothing gets stuck in the back until it starts to stink.

We balked at the lack of windows at first, but sunlight isn’t great for old books anyway. And it looks like the reading rooms attached have plenty is light.

And who doesn’t love to look at books, even if you’re just a person aspiring to become a prolific reader?

But skate stoppers are popping up everywhere to serve as a deterrent to hopping the curb.

At least this maple leaf stopper looks nice – that’s probably because it’s Canadian.

Frankly, we just love a little nature whenever we can get it (and we feel the same way about beer).

This broken board serves as a reminder of one of the cool skills you’ll learn if you start taking karate.

And we like things subtle every now and then.

If you’re a design fan, a TV is probably one of the things you hate the most when it comes to putting a living or family room together.

Some people want it to be the centerpiece of their room, but they’re such a blight.

At least they were until this TV that looks like a framed painting came along.

You need to take little steps to make big progress.

Now you can give back to nature while you drink. What more could you ask for?

Rather than having people end up in the hospital, we’ve largely just given up and put everything a person needs to know down on the ground.

And what better way to remember to reapply your sunscreen or take an indoor break than to have a sign you see only when the sun is at its brightest?
