Is duct tape a staple in your home? Do you often use it to repair cracks, loose and broken pieces, etc.? Well, it does the trick, but did you know that there are plenty of ways on how you can fix and repurpose broken things?

We’ve gathered 50 photos of people using their imagination in fixing and upcycling things that are broken. From car dents to broken chairs, these people have said “no” to duct tape and tried new ways on how they could fix things.

Check out their brilliant ideas, and who knows, you might get inspiration and be able to create your own fixing hack!

1. From ripped to ravishing

Our precious and expensive sofa would get worn out over time and suffer from discoloration and may be ripped apart.

Don’t consider buying another set just yet. Instead, why not put beautiful laces and incorporate them in your “problem” areas. Not only will it hide the things that you don’t want to see. It will also make your sofa look ravishing!

2. Bring up that value

Now this is a great way to restore an old platter. It’s easy and everyone has old discs lying around. Just cover the plate with pieces and fill in the gaps with small tile grout or glue.

3. Pretty “new” jeans

We all have our own favorite jeans, and it’s just a waste to see them fade, right? It’s so hard to find a pair of jeans that fits well, so don’t feel bad just yet because you can fix any faded parts of your fave jeans in a very creative way!

You can use patches to cover up those nasty faded spots. Not only will you be able to wear your jeans again, but it would also look even better! Like you bought them out of a store!

4. Crystalis

This may not work out for everyone, but filling holes with crystals or metals makes for a gorgeous sight that looks like a natural sediment. No one will believe it!

6. A whole world

This is so adorable! Turn your accident into a work of art. Paint them all the same color for a cyberpunk feel or make a colorful wonderland. It’s all up to you.

This backsplash tile is so cute! Cover a broken mirror with a slab to make your “new” mirror look ten times as expensive for just a few bucks at Lowe’s or even Walmart.

15. Improvised sprinkler

If your water sprinkler breaks, then don’t be disappointed yet. You can use an old soda bottle to be your temporary watering tool.

Just put lots of holes on your soda bottle and attach the neck of the bottle to your hose, ta-da! You now have a temporary sprinkler.

There’s nothing like embrodiery to really upgrade holy furniture. You can make any pattern you want and use any color you want too. Just look at this design!
