We understand slip-ups in life. No one is giving anyone hell for those. What pains us is mistakes that can be avoided or effortlessly corrected. The people behind these could do the right thing with very little effort but chose not to.
Why? We don’t know.
Here’s a list of people destroying us all one mistake at a time.
#1 You had one job
The whole point behind this board is to have its face cut out so you can take pics and be “French” by “holding” baguettes. It doesn’t work if you can still see the printed face next to yours.
#2 Limited resources
To many, this isn’t a problem. They can walk past these and feeling nothing. However, for everyone else, this an OCD trigger that has the power to ruin your entire day.
#3 But why?
The circular pattern on the side was clearly designed for the manhole. If the manhole was created by a different company, we can brush it off as creative differences. If the same company did this…some people just want to see the world burn.
#4 Urgh!
This is just a big mess. There’s no logic behind it. Any skilled craftsman could easily make this more appealing to the eyes. This was done by someone who doesn’t enjoy their work at all.
#5 Pigeon bench?
This is easily fixable. It wouldn’t cost more to fix and wouldn’t take more than a few minutes to rectify. The fact that someone finished their work and saw this as satisfactory worries me a lot about the world.
#6 You don’t deserve a car
Car stripes, in certain circles, are considered cool. They are simple, but can have an amazing effect on how your car looks unless you do this…
#7 Don’t sign the lease
When I first saw this, I almost blamed the electrician who put the switch there. It then occurred to me that the wooden pattern had to have been put after the switch was already installed, that’s why they tried to go around the switch.
#8 There must be a logical explanation
Maybe this was a duplex that eventually merged into one big house, and they decided to pick one door over the other, right? If not, what has the world come to?
#9 Save us all
This is one of those things that we wouldn’t care about if it wasn’t so obvious. If the didn’t have that glass pane, no one would notice. There’s no way that this doesn’t bother half the people that use this door.
#10 What else is wrong here?
There are tools to make sure these kinds of things don’t happen when constructing a building. It makes you wonder, “Is this building structurally safe? What else did they not do right?”
#11 Only because it’s chocolate
Lindt chocolate is no small brand. There has to be a reason that isn’t immediately obvious to people who aren’t too familiar with this brand. It’s still uncomfortable, but we’ll let it slide.
#12 Live?
They are obviously trying to be playful with the map of Louisiana here. It should read love, but that could easily be mistaken as live or “llve.” It doesn’t get the message across, does it?
#13 First time on the job?
It looks more like a child tried to work on an art project on a free paint app on their phone. This was not done by a professional.
#14 Solve the puzzle
I would like to thank the man who created this for taking the time to make sure it didn’t ruin the pattern of the rest of the bricks. I, however, condemn whoever didn’t have the patience to make sure the manhole lid was put back with the right side up.
#15 Alas!
It’s such a beautiful ceiling with very unique patterns on it. Sadly, thanks to whoever installed this fan, all anyone will see or think about is this monstrosity.
#16 Not in the middle
Yes, this was made by an automated system, so we can’t blame a human for this one. That doesn’t mean it’s any less infuriating.
#17 Quit your job?
I wish whoever works in this building well. To see this once is already infuriating, imagine having to see it every day in your office kitchen.
#18 The perfect crime
This happens all the time. A tenant doesn’t want to move a cupboard or shelf, and the utility guys are forced to build around it. When this tenant finally moves, the utility guys look incompetent. The real culprit is the previous tenant who has probably fled the country.
#19 Alas!
You can put all your collectibles anywhere except in front of the TV. It makes for a terrible viewing experience and will leave all your guests with a bad taste in their mouths.
#20 Ssssss!
I mean, we can’t crucify anyone for their handwriting, but that doesn’t mean it won’t bother us. Everything else about this handwriting is perfect except for that horrible “S.”
#21 Arrest him!
This is wrong in so many ways. Did each of these get installed by different people? How else do you explain this madness?
#22 Just walk away
We understand not being in the mood to work on some days, but this is on another level. There are so many wasted bricks. They were not trying at all.
#23 Unforgivable
Can you explain this? I obviously can’t. Was it meant to be a joke? I’m sure nobody sees that and leaves impressed.
#24 Don’t look
It’s such a small error that many people wouldn’t see it at all. Look away. If you see it once, it cannot be unseen.
#25 What a waste
Walking past huge buildings like this can be almost therapeutic…that is if they do it right. Just think about cathedrals or old castles, real works of art. This one just leaves you feeling unsettled.
#26 Dice?
I’d hate to see how the other sides of this dice look like. These things shouldn’t be handmade, right?
#27 What a mess
The leaning tower can get away with that, not your garage. The worst thing is that you can’t fix this without taking down the entire garage and building it from scratch. It’s more likely that this will stay this way for decades.
#28 Did you see it?
There is no concrete rule that bars anyone from making the “ON” button red and the “OFF” button green. However, the whole world has been doing it, why would you go and ruin that?
#29 So close
This had the potential to be something great. Everything is perfect, except that one misplaced orange dot. Someone should buy nail polish and paint over it or I will.
#30 Witchcraft
All those bricks were perfect. Someone had to deliberately cut into them and place that one brick like that. I can’t think of anything else to explain it; it’s witchcraft.
#31 Infuriating
First is the sidewalk. It can be fixed if they added a second line to the left side of the door. The roof, however, cannot be saved.
#32 Watch your toes
The thought of how painful it must be to bang your toes against this bothers me more than not knowing why it’s there in the first place. Why is it there?
#33 Bad for business
Just think about it, how many people do you think this will upset? And how many of those do they really expect to eat at their establishment after seeing this?
#34 Take your money elsewhere
This has to be deliberate. I don’t see how the people paying for this were satisfied after it was done unless they actually wanted it to be this way.
#35 It’s a prank
Why put up the walls in the first place? The walls are for privacy while using these. I don’t see how anyone would be comfortable using the middle one.
#36 World War 3?
I get it; some people don’t like to take these off. However, they are meant to get taken off. If not, they collect pockets of dusty air. It’s filthy.
#37 Roadworks
It almost looks like some type of contemporary art piece, but it’s not. This is the result of multiple light repairs over a long time. It’s time to repave that road.
#38 Indoor Stars
I don’t know how this works. Did they need more light? Were they trying to be artistic? Why?
#39 Finish your job
How long does it take to wipe a blackboard clean before you start writing on it? It doesn’t take much effort. Half of your class will likely have their attention on how dirty the board is.
#40 Another prank
It has all the markings of an elaborate prank. It’s so subtle that you almost miss it, but every time you get to the bottom of a page, you have to deal with this.
#41 Take your time
Were they trying to beat a deadline? By the way, they did the others; they are clearly good at their job. Why would they let this single one ruin a perfect job?
#42 It still works
Sure, the stove works fine, but it has to be unsettling every time you have to use it. It’s a waste of paint if you ask me.
#43 Its fault too
That chandelier doesn’t look cheap at all. If you are willing to spend that much money on something this grand, make sure you get what you paid for. They could have had this undone, right?
#44 Change of guard?
It’s so subtle. None of them are awful on their own, but together it’s chaos. The font size, font style, and color are all out of sync. Is someone new on the team?
#45 How does it happen?
It’s hard to make this mistake, especially since all the tiles must have been cut to size beforehand. Was this deliberate?
#46 The Irony
Isn’t it odd that a quote meant to critique how well people do their jobs has fallen victim to someone not doing their job well? Maybe it was a multilayered joke.
#47 Property disputes
It would have been cheaper if they made it straight. They would have built fewer roads, but it’s hard to get around property laws when people just don’t budge. Who can you blame?
#48 Look again
I doubt many people notice this one. The 1th and 2th floors blend in quite nicely with the 3th and the 4th. Madness!
#49 Extreme triggers
You immediately see a lot of similar files that could be easily grouped into folders. I mean, why would you leave multiple pictures anywhere but in a folder? How do you use a computer like this without a single care?
#50 Pure malice
It’s all there. There weren’t any missing pieces, and the rest of the floor is proof that he understood the pattern needed here. This was deliberate. This is torture.
